Obituary of Elvera T Tortu

(nee Mazzilli) passed away peacefully on December 29, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Louis J. Tortu Sr.; Devoted mother of Louis Tortu Jr. (the late Dolores) of Cherry Hill, Phyllis Tortu-Sliwecki (Arthur Sliwecki) of Cinnaminson, Joseph (Connie) Tortu of Cherry Hill, Michael (Karen) Tortu of Cinnaminson; Cherished mother in law of Kathy; Dear sister of Roland (Ida) Mazzilli, Loving grandmother of Andrea, Louis, Joseph, Christina, Jennifer, Lauren, Jessica, Jonathan, Alexander and seven great grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Elvera was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a talented seamstress and gifted cook. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday 8:45 to 9:45 AM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, 2500 Branch Pike in Cinnaminson. Interment Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
