Joseph G Procacci, age 90, of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees with his loving wife of 69 years, Teresa (nee Pillo), by his side. Devoted father of Rita Neczypor, Joseph M. (Jennifer), and Loretta Banecker (Frank). Loving grandfather of Natalie Fox (Brian), Edward, Daniel (Iris), Claire Walker (Robert), Joseph III (Alexandria), Gabrielle, Nicolas, Pasquale, Francis Banecker, Teresa Banecker, and great-granddaughter Viviana.Treasured brother of Michael, Rose McLaughlin (John) and Salvatore. Dear brother-in-law to Ronald and Mary Ann Pillo, Dominic Balsama, William Starkey, and Ann Marie Procacci. Predeceased by parents Antonio and Vincenza; sisters Lucy Tedeschi (Ralph) and Mildred Cross; brothers Charles and Pasquale (Rose); brother-in-law Michael Pillo, and sisters-in law Joan Balsama, Lucille Starkey, and Frances Procacci. Joseph was born in Camden, NJ on January 31, 1927. Joseph founded in 1948, with his brother Michael Procacci, the Procacci Brothers Sales Corporation, which today is the parent company of 11 different international entities. Joseph was one of the founders and owners of Medford Village Country Club in Medford, NJ. Joe, along with his brother, Mike, then was a partner of Vineyards Development Corporation & Vineyard Country Club in Naples, FL. Joe became a legend in the produce industry. One of his chief accomplishments was lobbying in Washington to save the Perishable Agriculture Commodities Act of the U.S.D.A., which protected all produce providers. Joseph enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family & friends. Relative and Friends are invited to the Visitation Friday November 24 from 6-9:30 pm and Saturday from 9-10 am at Falco, Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 Browning Road, Pennsauken NJ 08109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday November 25 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 402 N Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery & Mausoleum in Cherry Hill, NJ.
