Obituary of Dolores B. Zubrzycki

Dolores B. "Duchess" Zubrzycki (nee Branicki), passed away on December 1, 2017, a Pennsauken residence since 1958. She was born in Camden on April 29, 1932. Dolores was the daughter of the late Laura and John Branicki. She is predeceased by her loving husband Leonard, to whom she married, June 6, 1954. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Cavalieri, whom she loved dearly, son in law, Joseph and grandson, Alan. Also survived by sister in law, Joanna Zubrzycki and her five children, as well as a host of cousins in law and friends. Dolores was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Camden and a 1955 graduate of Temple University, where she earned a degree in elementary education. She was a dedicated teacher, who taught at Dudley School in Camden from 1955-1958, Roosevelt and Longfellow Schools in Pennsauken for many years. After retiring in 1995, Dolores volunteered to continue teaching at Longfellow for another 10 years. She loved teaching and spent a lot of time involved in extracurricular activities. Dolores was particular about grading papers and projects for her students and took pride in her work. Dolores and Leonard were party people and enjoyed attending many family gatherings and hosting their own. They spent many good times in the Pocono Mountains resorts and the Jersey Shore. They saw many musicals in New York and Philadelphia and traveled to Canada and many states in the East. They lived a full, happy and loving life. Relatives and friends are invited the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Ave in Merchantville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chews Landing.
