I worked with Emma for 10 years at Cooper. She was a source of positivity and light! I never saw her in a bad mood, no matter the battles she was facing. Her main goal in life was to help people and make the world a better place. She succeeded. I have never met a more beautiful person inside and out, who was so special, and literally brought joy into a room with just her gorgeous smile. You will be missed my friend. I love you!
Emma had a heart of gold.
She helped our genetics patients on many occasions through the years. Not only did she help us translate, but she provided much appreciated counseling support for families through some truly stressful and lengthy sessions.
I will never forget her. I hope that your many beautiful memories of her will comfort you at this very difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Emma at Cooper Pediatrics 35 years ago during the summer after my first year of college. Thanks to her warm welcome, thoughtful introduction to the staff, and the friendly atmosphere she fostered, going to work felt more like spending time with family. Her smile, gentle spirit, and kind words helped create a workplace culture that, to this day, remains my standard for what a positive work environment should feel like.
All these years later, I still have the shirt everyone signed on my last day, a small but powerful reminder of the love and joy she helped nurture.
Ms. Emma’s kindness, generosity, leadership, and love are sure to be remembered and will live on in all of us who were fortunate enough to be touched by her light.

Emma was always so very helpful with our Spanish patients and tolerated my very bad attempt to speak the language and translated for me when asked, She was a bright light with a great smile and I am better for having known her. So glad we gad a mini reunion last year. RIP dear Emma

I will always remember Emma because she was my best friend. We use to take the bus together for 4 years to Woodrow Wilson high. We use to dress with the same colors. She was positive, Kind loving and a smile that shine.

Living around the corner Cabrera’s on 4th street and Corcino’s on 3rd and Bailey…… you going to school with my sister Iris always handing out at our house. Emma was one of the most interiorly beautiful women of know. I didn’t know her that intimately but she just seemed to radiated Gods graces or blessings if you will to everyone she met. It was a great pleasure to know her, work with her on church projects, and to be one of her church friends. I will really miss her smile, joy of life, energy and her friendship. My sincerest condolences to her family, friends and choir members. I will Emma and her extended family in my prayers.

Emma was one of the strongest woman I know. Even when she was in pain, whatever kind of pain, she brushed it off and pretended like everything was okay. I may have sat in the background but I quietly observed everything. I know she's in a better place and is being GREATLY rewarded, in Heaven, for who she was while here on earth. She will be missed.

Emma was one of my smiles that I needed when I was going through treatment at Cooper, she was one of my favorite counselors at camp, and I became an adult she was a beloved friend who I will greatly miss. My deepest condolences to her entire family.
I am deeply sorry for the loss of my dearest Emma. She was everything and more! A truly remarkable person who touched my life in so many ways. In the four years we worked together, she taught me so much, both professionally and personally. I’m grateful I had the chance to celebrate her on her birthdays and to offer help whenever she needed it. She was an incredible soul, and her memory will stay with me always. My heartfelt prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.
