I consider Rose the fierce matriarch of our street. I looked up to her in so many ways and always felt at home with her and her family. I don't know if I will ever not look for her on the porch on sunny days. My husband likes to tell a story about how he was yaking with Nick and Rose came out to tell him to stir the meatballs, Nick went on talking and Rose winked at my husband and shouted "I said NOW" just to tease him and make him jump. We always found their playful dynamic to be hilarious. She was a great neighbor and friend and we will miss her dearly.
