Obituary of Thomas F. McLaughlin

Thomas F. McLaughlin, of Sicklerville, formerly of South Philadelphia PA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday March 13th at the age of 82. 

Thomas was a world traveler, having cruised from Alaska to Israel and everywhere in between. He enjoyed the serenity of the ocean the company of the people he met along the way.

Tom, as he was known by friends and family, was generous and caring. He was always ready to help those he loved, whether it was a ride to the airport or picking up the check at dinner. He took joy in spending time with his in-laws either at the casino or the buffet. He had an appreciation for the little things in life. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, who he would bring along to a baseball game or to the diner. And in his later years it was his great granddaughter who could light up his face with just a smile in his direction. 

He is survived by his sister, Florence Shaw, his daughter, Laura Diamond, his 3 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.

Thomas will be cremated and, per his request, there will not be any services. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
