Obituary of Luis Cuadrado

Luis Cuadrado, age 76, of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at his home on March 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Luis was the beloved husband of 52 years to Mildred Ivette Cuadrado (née Lombay). He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish his memory.

Born in Puerto Rico, Luis began his career as a history teacher at Juan Ponce de León High School in San Juan. In 1982, he answered a higher calling and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably until his retirement in 2000 at the rank of Sergeant First Class. Alongside his military service, Luis was a devoted pastor in the Assemblies of God. He began ministries while stationed in Savannah, Georgia. and while stationed in Germany, he founded the Movimiento Cristiano de Iglesias Latinas de Avivamiento (MCILA), a network of Hispanic churches that flourished under his leadership. His ministry continued in the United States, where he established churches in Ft Dix, New Jersey and Manhattan, Kansas, and served as a spiritual mentor to countless individuals.

Luis was a friend to all who knew him — a man of great faith, joy, and compassion. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, offering wisdom, encouragement, and laughter. His warmth and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he impacted.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue, Camden, NJ. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will take place at 1:30 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ.

Luis’s family invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his life, faith, and lasting legacy.

The family appreciates your support and requests that any floral tributes be replaced with cards and/or donations.
