Obituary of Domenica Cordo
Domenica "Minnie" Cordo, age 98 of Cherry Hill, passed away on March 27, 2025 at Laurel Brook Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Laurel. She was born in Camden, New Jersey on October 22, 1926 to the late Emidio and Antoinette (nee Fagnani) D'Ottavi.
Beloved wife of 70 years of the late Vincent "Jim" Cordo; Devoted mother of Nanci Garlick (the late Tom) and Janice and her husband Joseph Moore; Loving grandmother of Joseph (Miranda) Moore, Drew (Sarah) Moore and Nicholas Garlick; Dear sister in law of Helen D'Ottavi. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Millie (Tony) Giorgio, Mary (Tony) Neri, Joseph D'Ottavi, Rudy (Ellen) D'Ottavi and Caroline D'Ottavi.
Minnie loved Friday night dances with Jim, going on family vacations to Ocean City, and rooting for the Phillies. She was very involved with her church as a eucharistic minister and member of the bereavement committee. She was also involved with Baldwin Elementary School in Pennsauken as one of the members who started the library there. Minnie was a bowler for over 50 years; throwing multiple 200 games.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 344 Kresson Avenue in Cherry Hill, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of the donor's choice.
