Obituary of Na'Cere D. Whetstone

Na’Cere D. Whetstone, age 23 years of Pennsauken, passed away suddenly on May 10, 2025.  He was born in Voorhees, NJ on September 12, 2001.  He was a 2019 graduate of Pennsauken High School and went on to further his education at William Paterson University and then Camden County College.

Na’Cere worked as a paraprofessional at Veterans Memorial School in Camden and at the Funplex in Mt. Laurel.  He was a gifted artist with a soul full of creativity and poured his heart into every sketch. His work spoke when words could not, capturing beauty, emotion, and imagination in ways that moved those lucky enough to witness it.

Na’Cere also had a vibrant, active spirit. He found joy and strength in working out and could often be found shooting hoops on the basketball court. When not outside, he loved immersing himself in video games, listening to music and traveling.

But beyond all his talents and passions, Na’Cere’s heart belonged to his family. He cherished every meal, every moment, every late-night talk or simple laugh shared at home. Food brought him joy not just in taste, but in the company it brought together. His love for his family was deep, unwavering, and at the center of everything he did.

Those who knew Na’Cere will remember his warm smile, his humor, his loyalty, and his kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of love, passion, and unforgettable memories.  Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will last forever.

Beloved son of Ne’Cole P. Smith and Donald M. Whetstone Jr. (Raquel).  Devoted brother of Ne’Vaeh Cunningham, Donald Whetstone III, Deen Whetstone and De’Liyah Whetstone.  Loving grandson of maternal grandparents, Paulette Williams, Jeffrey Smith, Jean Gonsalves and paternal grandparents, Evelyn and Donald Whetstone, Sr.  Cherished nephew of Paige, Sabrina, Steven, Jeffrey, Jason, Teddy, Charae and Nicole.  Also survived by his faithful four-legged companion, Zeus, special cousin, Shyann Johnson, as well as many other loving cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 9-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Final disposition will take place privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, P.O.
