I met Mae in October 1970 when I started working for FHA/HUD. Not only was she my mentor but also my friend. We had so many good times in and out of the office. There were 5 of us plus Mae who would get together and meet up for dinner. This even continued when Mae was no longer able to get out. We brought the lunch to her. I know we were all hoping to celebrate her 100th birthday with her in September but God decided to call her home. Rest in peace Mae! Come September we will all go out and celebrate you! Love you!
