Obituary of Joan A. Love

Joan A. Love (nee Gideon), age 94 years of Collingswood, formerly of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025.  Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Richard and Elizabeth Gideon.  Joan was a 1948 graduate of Camden Catholic High School

Belove wife of the late Thomas Love.  Devoted mother of Daniel Love (Kristin), Mary Beth Donohue (Bruce) and the late Thomas Love, Jr. (Susan).  Loving grandmother of Sarah (Brendan), Tyler (Tiffany), Emmalee (Matthew), Stephen, Kevin (Kristen), Elizabeth (Michael), Jeffrey (Megan), Shannon (Zachary), Brad, and Alec and great grandmother of Drew and Tanner.  Dear sister of the late Lois Pinnix.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Joan lived a full and joyful life marked by love, laughter, and faith. She cherished summers spent with her husband Tom at their beloved shore house in Ocean City.  Days on the beach, long walks, and evenings filled with family and friends were among her most treasured memories.

Joan enjoyed doing needlepoint and sewing, playing pinochle and rarely missed a Friday night happy hour with family and friends.  Her Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she was a longtime parishioner at St. Stephen’s Church in Pennsauken.  Joan will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N.
