Obituary of David Garcia III

David Garcia III, age 38 of Camden, passed away suddenly at his home on June 26, 2025.  He was born at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden on March 12, 1987 to proud parents Sonia Rosado and David Garcia, Sr.  He was a beloved son, a cherished brother and a dear friend to many.

David grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family.  He was the younger brother of Ruben Garcia and the protective older brother of Cristina Garcia as well as brother to Iris Pagan, Anita Garcia, Naomi Garcia and David Garcia, Jr.  David was also the cherished uncle to Samantha Garcia, Jacob Viera, Hector Flores and Ruben.  His love for his siblings was unwavering, and the bond they shared was truly special.  He was also blessed with a large extended family who adored him deeply.  He had four aunts – Gladys, Carmen, Nancy and Miriam, and five uncles – Jr. (Aida), Anibal (Maria), Nelson, Robert (Virgen (coqui) and Abraham, and many cousins that will miss him terribly.  We find comfort that he is now reunited with those who have passed before him, especially his late grandparents Carmen Ponce and Confesor Rosado and uncle Angel Rosado, who he cherished and whose love for him lives on in spirit.

David’s presence brought joy and light to those around him.  His family and friends will remember his kind heart, his infectious smile and the many memories shared.  He leaves behind a family that will miss him terribly and love him forever.  David had a quiet personality and loved to spend time with his family.  He will be remembered for his love of joking around with everyone.  In his youth, David was a boxer, winning many trophies and awards.  His love for the sport remained, and he could often be found watching the fights with family and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM.  Entombment will follow at Harleigh Mausoleum in Camden.
