Obituary of George C. Peirce
George C. Peirce, age 72 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia on July 20, 1952 to the late George A. and Marian M. Peirce (nee McLean).
Devoted father of Andrea Meyers (Jack) and Dana Ho (Nhan). Loving poppy of Madison Meyers (Justin Ashley), Vanessa Meyers, Ethan Ho and Zachary Ho. Dear brother of Lynn Gaston (Bob). Cherished uncle of Robert Laszlo (Franky), Scott Laszlo, and Shannon Parks (Steve) and great uncle of Amalia and Stevie Parks. Also survived by his longtime companion, Florence Weisman.
George grew up in Pennsauken and graduated from Pennsauken High School in 1970. He worked as a corrections officer at Riverfront State Prison in Camden for over 20 years. After retiring in 2008, George then worked part time as a funeral attendant at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home from 2009-2023.
A lifelong sportsman at heart, he found joy on the softball field, at the bowling lanes, or casting a line into the water with rod in hand. Whether he was placing a bet at the track or trying his luck at the casino, he always brought along a spark of excitement and a smile that could light up a room.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. When he wasn’t cheering on his teams, you could find him watching Nat Geo Wild, especially those featuring his favorite vet, Dr. Pol. His love for animals and nature was as genuine as his love for people.
Above all, George was a proud father and grandfather. He beamed with pride at every accomplishment of his daughters and grandchildren, always cheering them on with boundless love and support. He had a generous heart, always putting others before himself, and caring for those who needed it.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love that will be cherished by all who knew him. Though he has departed this world, his spirit will live on in every story told, every game watched, every fishing line cast, and every memory shared. He was deeply loved, and will never be forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 6-8 PM and Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N.
