Obituary of Emma I. Colon

Emma I. Colon (nee Corsino), age 73 years, of Pennsauken formerly of Camden, passed away peacefully at home on July 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Rudy.  Devoted daughter of Agapita Corcino (nee Belardo) and the late Jesus Corcino.  Loving sister of Jesus Corcino, Jr. and Evelyn Corcino-Rosario (Joe).  Also survived by numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and her “Homies” a group of her dearest friends for over 50 years, Iris, Elva, Miriam, Zuleika, Nelly, and Herminia. 

Prior to retirement in 2022, Emma worked as a receptionist at Cooper Pediatrics in Camden for 43 years.  After retirement, she worked part time on Wednesdays at Mary, Queen of All Saints Church and was also a member of their choir.  Emma volunteered at Camp Happy Times every summer for a week in August and was a mentor and support to children with cancer.  She was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.  Emma enjoyed decorating for special occasions not just for her events but for friends and family.  She was a collector of nativity scenes, made the best salads, loved to travel and take care of her house plants.  Emma was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 5-8 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11 AM at Mary, Queen of All Saints Parish, Church of St. Cecilia, 4801 Camden Ave in Pennsauken.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Happy Times, The Valerie Fund, 2101 Millburn Ave, Maplewood, NJ 07040
