Obituary of Rita N. Bamonti

Rita N. Bamonti (nee Nardo), age 75 of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025 surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 7, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Nicholas and Rita (nee DiPietroantonio) Nardo.

Devoted wife to Frank for 51 years; Proud mother of Nicole Anstey (Shawn) and Michael Bamonti (Eliza); Loving grandmother of Landon, Elyse, Hunter, Chase and Sawyer; Dear sister of Carol Melgar (Filiberto) and sister in law of Joanne Anthony (Anthony).  She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to her retirement, Rita was an accomplished legal assistant for many years, and built a respected career defined by dedication, attention to detail and genuine care for those she worked alongside.  She then spent time passing along her love for education as a substitute teacher.  Rita also volunteered her time with many organizations, including the St. Peter’s School PTA and serving as past president of the Alumni Association of Peirce College in Philadelphia.

Rita loved spending time with her family, decorating her home for the holidays, cooking and shopping.  An avid reader and excellent writer, she also enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises and to Walt Disney World, where she was a member of the Disney Vacation Club.  Her legacy will live on in the countless memories she created with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, August 15 from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday, August 16 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 West Maple Avenue in Merchantville.  Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
