Leona M. Holyk (nee Hendrickson), age 64 of Cherry Hill, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on August 27, 2025 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, New Jersey.  She was born on June 17, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Roy and Shirley (nee Allen) Hendrickson.

Beloved wife of 44 years to the late Walt; Dear sister of Sharon (John) Cannon and the late Kathleen, Gregory (Nicole) and Douglas Hendrickson and sister in law of Bobby Monafusco; Cherished aunt of Todd Goldberg, Tara Tait and Patrick Cannon.  She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Leona worked as an agent with American Airlines in Philadelphia.  She loved hanging with her family and her cat Telly, was extremely creative with arts & crafts, loved going on cruises with her late husband Walt, bowling, playing Bingo at Cherry’s and Phillies baseball.  She enjoyed watching Columbo and true crime documentaries.  She also was a foodie, and loved all kinds of foods, but Mexican and Chinese were her favorites.

Leona had a contagious laugh and was never afraid to tell it like it was.  She made friends easily with her smile and sense of humor, and people often fell in love with her minutes after meeting her.
