Obituary of Andres Rivera

Andres “Pucho” Rivera, age 82 years of Camden, passed away on September 10, 2025, at Cooper Hospital in Camden.  Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico to the late Flores and Luz Rivera.  After moving from Puerto Rico to New York in the 1960's in search of new opportunities, Andrés met the love of his life at the factory where she worked, beginning a lifelong partnership built on shared dreams and hard work.

Beloved husband of Ada Daisy (nee Rodriguez) for 58 years.  Devoted father of Jeannette DeJesus (Jose), Andres Rivera, and Jimmy Rivera.  Dear brother of Iris Vargas.  Loving uncle of Edwin Roman, Samuel Roman (Dawn), Jannette Acevedo (David), Yvette Vargas, Rose Marie Vargas, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews.  Also survived by his grandpup, Rocky.

Prior to retirement, Pucho was employed as a cement finisher in the construction business for over 20 years.  He was an avid baseball fan, especially the NY Yankees.  Pucho also enjoyed listening to old Spanish music and trying his luck with the lottery. He took pride in making his own moonshine and appreciated a good cigar and a glass of tequila.
