Obituary of Rita O'Sullivan

Rita O’Sullivan (nee Tobin) age 63 years of Cherry Hill, formerly of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on October 13, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomas and Rita Tobin (nee Iannelli).  Beloved wife of Daniel O’Sullivan for 39 and half years.  Devoted mother of Colin O’Sullivan (Erika) and Daniel O’Sullivan (Kaylie).  Loving grandmother of Camryn.  Dear sister of Patricia Spahr.  Also survived by her mother-in-law, Mary O’Sullivan, sister-in-law, Maria Sullivan (Frank), brother-in-law, John O’Sullivan (Laura) and many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to her illness, Rita was a dedicated hairdresser for 35 years at Hairport in Maple Shade.  She found joy in her work and in the many lasting connections she made with clients and friends over the years.

Outside of the salon, Rita was an artist with a creative spirit who enjoyed crafting, drawing, and painting. She was also very active and enjoyed skiing, playing softball in her younger years, and later picked up a love for golf.

A devoted Philadelphia sports fan, she rarely missed a game and always rooted for her teams—win or lose.

Most important to her was time spent with family, especially her granddaughter, with whom she shared a close and special bond.  Rita will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5:30-8 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.

Another Visitation and Funeral will take place Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Holy Eucharist Church, 344 Kresson Road in Cherry Hill, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 625 N Governor Printz Blvd # 2, Essington, PA 19029.  Donate at www.lung.org

Following the funeral, the family kindly asks for privacy during this difficult time, as the past few weeks have been especially hard. A celebration of Rita's life will be held at a later date.
