Obituary of Aramita Rivera-Diaz

Aramita Rivera Diaz, age 81 of Pennsauken, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 19, 2025 at her home.  She was born in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico on April 7, 1944 to the late Ventura Rivera and Aurora Diaz Nuñez.

Beloved mother of Samuel Melton Jr., Dorothy Melton, Henry Bennett, Elizabeth Corbett, Jonathan Corbett, Margaret Melton and the late Homero Sanchez; Loving grandmother of Cheriece Sanchez, Brianna Melton, Jonathan Corbett Jr. and Morgan Corbett; Dear sister of Jose Joaquin Rivera, Andres Avelino Rivera, Elba Rivera and the late Humberto Rivera. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Aramita cherished spending time with her children, family and friends. She found joy in life simple things like playing bingo, shopping, listening to salsa and Christian music, attending church and cooking delicious meals. She was known for her warm smile and generous heart. She always made everyone feel welcome and loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, October 28 from 9:30 to 11 AM at St. Joseph's Pro Cathedral, 2907 Federal Street in Camden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
