Obituary of Ernesto Acevedo

Ernesto Acevedo, age 62 years of Camden, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 20, 2025. 

Beloved husband of Rosa Acevedo (nee Roldan).  Devoted father of Ernisette Acevedo (Eric Centeno), Emmanuel Acevedo (Mikayla Rodriguez), Jossie Medina, and Jessie Medina (Luz Nogueras).  Loving grandfather of Alana, Emme-Lee, Emani, Giovanni, Aizaiha, Alijah, Caleb, and Savanna.  Dear brother of Emerita, Consuelo, Ana, Johnny, Arturo, and Eleno.  Also survived by in laws, Amparo and Victor Alamo, brothers in law, Joe and Jose and sister-in-law, Carmen as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to his illness, Ernesto was employed as a superintendent for the Willingboro MUA for 26 years.  He was someone who appreciated the little things in life.  Ernesto loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing, grilling, or just enjoying a quiet day outside. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching a good boxing match.

The holidays, especially Thanksgiving, were some of his favorite times of the year. He enjoyed bringing family together and took pride in the food, the company, and the traditions.

Ernesto will be remembered for his steady presence, love of simple pleasures, and the time he gave to those around him.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 9-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
