Obituary of Ramon A. Muniz
Ramon A. Muniz, age 62 years of Camden, passed away suddenly on October 19, 2025.
Ramon was born on March 25, 1963, in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. At the young age of 2 his family came to Camden, NJ and resided in North Camden for many decades.
He received his education in the Camden Public School system. Ramon had very active childhood in North Camden as an athlete. He played every sport in the Pyne Point Community from baseball, basketball, and boxing. His journey started at Camp Moore where he played on the elite basketball team. Ramon was so competitive with the Hispanic Basketball Association League and the competitiveness continued on the Adult Baseball League of Pyne Point and they scouted him to play on their team. If there was a challenge, he would always expect to prove his agility for greatness in the sports world.
Ramon worked for Guarantee Brakes as a brake selector, and after many years he decided there was a passion for DIY projects. He started off within the community, helping the elderly with projects in their homes. This passion led him to becoming an apprentice for the remainder of his life. There was never a project too big or too small for him to conquer. Ramon had many names from Muncho, Macky Moan, and the best of all Uncle Roman.
Most of all, Ramon enjoyed spending time with his family on vacations and cookouts. He loved to grill his famous pinchos for the family with that impeccable smile. He loved to crack a joke, the minute he walked into a room, but most of all he cherished the holidays Salsa dancing with his mother.
To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved mother, Carmen Santiago, his daughter, Sierra Muniz, brothers, Carols Muniz, Sr, Fernando Santiago, and the late Armando Carlo, Jr., sister Yalitza Rodriguez, granddaughter, Ella Vargas, wife, Sol Ivette Muniz and many loving nieces and nephews.
