Obituary of James Anthony George Vendetti Sr.

James Anthony George Vendetti, Sr., age 69, passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Camden, New Jersey, Jim was the beloved son of Anthony J. Vendetti and the late Gloria E. (née Cacciacarro) Vendetti. He grew up in Camden and moved with his family to Pennsauken at the age of eleven.

Jim was a proud graduate of Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, NJ and went on to attend LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration on a baseball scholarship.

Jim married the love of his life, Rose (née Tocco) Vendetti, in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. His career in commercial insurance underwriting took their family across the East Coast, including moves to Bellingham and Franklin, Massachusetts, and West Chester, Pennsylvania, while working for Liberty Mutual, AIG, and later Starr Companies in New York City. Jim and Rose eventually returned closer to their families in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and later enjoyed time together in Jersey City and Delaware before retiring at Lake Oconee, Georgia.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose; his brother, Anthony Vendetti; his children, James Vendetti, Jr. and Tara Belviso and her husband Gerardo; and his adored grandchildren, James Vendetti III, Pierce Vendetti, and Grayson Belviso.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Jim enjoyed golf and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and USC Trojans. His love for sports was only matched by his love for family, and his warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday, November 1, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, Pennsauken, NJ where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ.
