Obituary of Michael Dougherty

Michael Dougherty, age 79 years of Pennsauken, passed away on November 7, 2025.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth V. (nee Brady).  Devoted father of Brian Dougherty and his wife Kristen.  Loving grandfather of Maddison, Adelaide, and Cadence. 

Michael served as PTA president at St. Stephen's School in Pennsauken in the early 90's. Prior to retirement in 2013, Michael was employed as a train operator for PATCO for over 20 years.  He cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather.  Every Friday evening, Michael and Elizabeth could be found enjoying dinner together at PJ’s, their favorite local restaurant, where they made countless memories.  As a grandfather, Michael’s life revolved around his grandchildren, he loved spending time with them and took great joy in picking them up from school, attending their activities, and just being present in their lives. Michael was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and will be forever in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 6-7:30 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
