John Lattanzi

Obituary of John A. Lattanzi

John A. Lattanzi, age 76 of Lindenwold, passed away on November 28, 2025 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ.  He was born in Camden, NJ on January 17, 1949 to the late Victor and Vienna (nee Vagnozzi) Lattanzi.

Devoted father of John Lattanzi Jr., Abriana (Gabriel) Maldonado, Victoria (Jay) Kimberley and the late Michael Lattanzi; Loving grandfather of Shawn Howell, Anthony Lattanzi and Giovan Maldonado; Dear brother of Frank Lattanzi, Carolyn Granate, Margaret Salerno and the late Arthur, Pat, Victor and Thomas Lattanzi; Beloved longtime partner of Kelly Brady; Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

John began working in the family business, Vittorio Bakery at the age of 2, kneading dough under his father's tutelage.  He continued this work after school as he grew older, and as a young teen began delivering to local businesses from his father's bread truck.

From a young age, he loved to dance and spent his down time at the Mepri Dance Hall with the crowd who loved "The Geater with the heater" Jerry Blavat.

He graduated from Camden County Vocational Technical School with HVAC certification, and worked for Houck Engineering ensuring stability for his young sons, John and Michael.

He then returned back to his love for bread and baking, joining the team at Morning Star Bakery with the Arcaini family and then purchased the shop with his brother Victor for a time.  He later became Production Manager at DelBuono's Bakery where he worked for 23 years.  He often slept on flour bags to ensure productivity, sacrificing family time due to his strong work ethic.

He loved using his grandmother's rolling pin to make ravioli with his family, as well as at the children's school functions such as "Take your Dad to school day".  He was always willing to help someone no matter how tired which earned him the nickname "Johnny on the Spot"

He joined the team at Olive Restaurant which was a place where he felt at home and then finished his working career with Vilotti & Pisanelli Bakery.

In his more recent years, he enjoyed dancing at Adelphia's during the Bob Pantano dance party, where he was known as "Johnny G" and "The Godfather of Adelphias".  John cherished time spent with his family, whether it was telling stories, sharing recipes or making bread or homemade ravioli.
