Obituary of Donna J. Pietarinen

Donna J. Pietarinen (nee Dorsey), age 79 years of Pennsauken passed away on December 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Charles Pietarinen for 49 years.  Devoted mother of Jason Pietarinen and Jillian Kuni (Gary).  Loving grandmother of Ryan, Savannah and Gary.  Dear sister of Judith Lebed (Mel).  Cherished aunt of Jenny and Greg and great aunt of Bella.

Prior to retirement, Donna worked in the lab at Cooper Hospital for over 30 years.  She was a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, always cheering on her teams with unmatched enthusiasm. Her love for her teams was contagious, and she never missed an opportunity to show her support.

Donna had an infectious joy for life. She could often be found indulging in her love for shopping, finding joy in the simplest of pleasures. She was a faithful viewer of soap operas, NCIS, and other TV shows.  Her trips to the beach, especially to Ocean City, were among the highlights of her year, where she could relax and recharge by the ocean.

Donna was a generous and kind-hearted person who believed in giving back. She supported numerous charities, always looking for ways to make a difference in the lives of others. Her heart was as big as her love for her family.

Most of all, Donna cherished spending time with her family, who were the center of her world. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she made sure to fill their lives with warmth, laughter, and love. Family gatherings, meals out, and sharing memories were the moments Donna treasured most.

Donna’s passing leaves a space in the hearts of those who knew her, but the love, generosity, and loyalty she shared will continue to be felt by all who were lucky enough to have her in their lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:30-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
