Obituary of Juan F. Martinez

Juan F. Martinez, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. He was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, on July 1, 1948 to the late Felix Martinez and Alejandrina Malave Martinez. 

Juan Felix was the beloved husband of Eva Martinez. He was a devoted father to Edwin, Jessica, Irvin, Melissa and son-in-law Frank Robles, and a proud grandfather to Edwin, Joel, Julius, Jace, Zion, Zamir, Zayden Martinez, Jaden Torres, and Mia and Maximus Robles. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Solani Martinez. 

He is survived by his siblings Herminia Portalatin, Margarita Bates, Felicita Zayes, Benedicta Diaz, Francisco Martinez, Ruben Martinez, Hector Martinez and Jose Manuel Martinez. 

Juan Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Alejandrina Malave Martinez; and siblings Anibal Martinez, Miguel A. Martinez, Ana Rivera, Norma George and Carmen Freeman. 

He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Juan Felix was a loving and caring Patriarch of the Martinez and extended family. He treasured time spent with his family and created lasting memories through long road trips and shared experiences. He enjoyed fixing cars, completing home projects, and spending days at the beach with loved ones. A true music enthusiast, he loved playing his guitar and listening to all types of music especially Latin music and Oldies. 

Juan Felix was a pillar of his community always willing to give without expecting anything in return. He enjoyed watching boxing, listening to music and dancing. He took great pride in his heritage and was a proud Puerto Rican-American Patriot.  

Juan Felix will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generosity, strength, and love for family. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 3425 River Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
