Obituary of Annie Louise Johnson

Annie Louise Johnson, age 84 of Delanco, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026.  Born Annie Louise Johnson and called Louise by most, she was born on January 7, 1942 to the late Ella Beatrice Johnson Caldwell.  Louise was educated in the Warren County School System in North Carolina before moving to an area of Pennsauken, NJ commonly known as Delair.

Louise wasted no time entering the work force, working several jobs until landing a job with Patton Industries, formerly located in Moorestown, NJ.  Louise was promoted to a Lead supervisory position in the production plant and received several safety awards.  She continued in her position until her retirement.  She later obtained a school Bus Aide position with the Pennsauken Township School System until her final retirement in 2019.

Louise was always up for playing cards with family and friends.  Her favorite pasttime was playing Bingo.  She could always be found with her bingo bag and elephant trinkets which she would quickly tell you were for good luck and protection.  Those who knew Louise knew she loved being out on the dance floor.  She'd spend half the night dancing and the other half holding her back saying she was sore from the dancing.  However, she didn't let that stop her especially if Motown Oldies were playing.  She was forever bragging to siblings and friends about her knowledge of dances and how "They are really done".

Louise accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She faithfully attended the Evergreen Baptist Church located on West Third Street in Palmyra, NJ.  She was affectionately known by many as Sister Johnson as she served the church in the Nurse's Ministry.  Louise later became a member of the Living Springs Prayer Warrior community in the apartment complex where she lived.  These members sang, read scripture and held group prayer sessions.  Louise faithfully attended the weekly Friday night sessions.

Louise was preceded in death by her son James Johnson (Antoinette).  She leaves behind son Floyd Lonny Johnson (Mindy), sisters - Mable Johnson Long, Joyce Caldwell, Helen Ward (Mark Ward), Toni Person, and Doreatha O'Neal.  Louise was also preceded in death by sisters Linda Ann Lindsey and Jana Fae Caldwell and brother James Thomas Caldwell.  She leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will affectionately be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 9-11 AM at the Evergreen Baptist Church, 602 W. Third Street in Palmyra, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM.
