Myrna Torres Pagan

Obituary of Myrna J. Torres Pagan

It is with profound love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Myrna J. Torres Pagan, age 78, of Camden, who left this world on February 18, 2026, peacefully surrounded by the family she devoted her entire life to. To know Myrna was to be loved by her — completely, unconditionally, and in a way that stayed with you long after she left the room.

Myrna was, in every sense of the words, a light in our lives and a pillar of her community. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone around her feel like they belonged, treating not only her family with the greatest love and care, but also treating their friends as though they were her very own children. Whether you came through her door as a neighbor, a stranger, or a lifelong friend, you left feeling seen, valued, and full — usually because she had already found a way to feed you. Her home was never just a house; it was a sanctuary where people naturally gravitated, drawn in by the warmth she radiated so effortlessly.

Her firm yet deeply positive spirit was one of her most beautiful qualities. She never had to try to make people feel safe — she simply did. Her calm presence had a way of softening the hardest days, and her outlook on life was quietly contagious. Those fortunate enough to spend time with her carried a little piece of her light forward, often without even realizing it. Those closest to her had the gift of having these beautiful qualities rub off on them, continuing to carry her blessings through this world.

Myrna found joy in the most genuine of places. A walk through the mall with her grandchildren, the backyard garden’s tomatoes and hydrangea bushes could stop her in her tracks, and family at her side in the kitchen when she prepped to make everyone happy in her own way, which never failed to bring a radiant smile to her face. Animals, too, held a special place in her heart. She expressed her creativity and love through her cooking, filling kitchens with irresistible, traditional foods, and filling people with something far greater than a meal. Her sewing was a quiet art form, each stitch a small act of devotion. And her love of music — especially live performances — moved through her like something sacred.

Perhaps what people will remember most, alongside the warmth, was her wit. Myrna had a joke for every occasion and the timing to match. She could make an entire room erupt in laughter, and she knew it — and loved every moment of it. Her humor was sharp but not unkind; it was the kind that pulled people closer and made ordinary moments unforgettable.

Above all else, Myrna lived for her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Pedro Juan Rubert Sr., and the devoted mother of Myrna Rubert, Jeanette Rubert, Katherine Rubert (Raymond Acevedo Sr.), and her late sons Kevin Rubert and Pedro Juan Rubert Jr. She was a loving grandmother to Kevin Jr., Jose Rosa Jr., Juan Rosa, Anthony Rosa, Mariah Molina, Luis Molina Jr., Ruben Molina, Pedro Molina, Destiny Acevedo, Anaiyah Acevedo, Bryanna Acevedo, Raymond Acevedo Jr., Jasmine Mercado, and her late grandson Jacob Rosa. She was a cherished great-grandmother to Jaylani Rosa, Ethan Rubert, Avion Rubert, Lucas M. Rubert, Leiliana A. Torres Rubert, Danielis E. Vargas, Serenity Rodriguez, Omari Roman, and Milan Santiago — each one a treasure she held close to her heart.

She is also survived by her dear siblings: Sonia Margarita Torres Pagan, Olga Iris Torres Pagan, Ismael Humberto Torres Pagan, Nelson Juan Torres Pagan, Berta Julia Torres Pagan, Lydia Margarita Torres Pagan, Doris Elba Torres Pagan, and Ricardo Miguel Torres Pagan, as well as her late siblings Iraida Monserrate Torres Pagan, Pedro Antonio Torres Pagan, and Ismael Humberto Jr. She is further survived by a beautiful and expansive circle of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing her.

Myrna did not simply pass through this world — she enriched it. She leaves behind not just memories, but a way of living: with love, with laughter, with an open door, and with hydrangeas in bloom.

She was one of a kind, and she will be deeply, endlessly missed.
