Obituary of Michael C. Caputo Jr.

Michael C. Caputo, Jr., age 81 of Mount Laurel, passed away on February 22, 2026 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 11, 1945 to the late Michael C. and Rose (nee Campellone) Caputo Sr.

Beloved husband of the late Carol F. (nee Knasiak); Devoted father of Justine (Allen) Merz, Michael (Kate) Caputo III and Michelle (Nicole) Coffenberry; Loving grandfather of Amy Florian, Allen, Anthony and Ashley Merz, Maggie and Kevin Caputo and Declan and Logan Coffenberry; Cherished great grandfather of Stephen, David, Ashlyn, Aubrey, Patrick, Allen, Gavin, Michael and Owen.  Dear brother of Vera Wood.

Michael was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1966 to 1972 during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Ferko String Band in Philadelphia for almost 70 years.  When not playing the accordion with the band, he enjoyed spending his time outside on the beach or boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ or taking care of his cars…especially the Queen Mary.  Michael also enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles or most importantly his grandchildren’s events.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, March 10 from 5 to 8 PM and Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, 42 West Main Street in Moorestown.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.
