Michael was a wonderful human being, with a loving spirit and empathetic personality. We sat near each other in the office for a very short time, but whenever I had the opportunity to see him, he was always, positive, smiling and happy. I will miss him.... He was taken too soon.

Mike and I were school friends. We both took Mr. Chandler's drafting class for all four years because we loved Mr. Chandler and we loved our lil own basement group. We weren't part of the cliques that existed we just existed for an hour a day in Mr. Chandler's class and then we would go our separate ways. We used to have lunch every Christmas with Mr. Chandler after we graduated. The last time me, Kyle and Mike went to see him was one of the funniest days of my life. We all laughed the entire car ride up and back. After that, I moved away and when I saw Mike last he taunted me and asked if I was jealous that he went to have Chandler Christmas lunch without me. I told him I was. Ha. I thought "what a brat?!". In reality, Mike just spoke his mind. He was honest. He didn't care what everyone thought. He did his own thing and people loved him for it. I haven't seen Mike in about 5 years but I'm sure he hadn't changed much. I always had the biggest school crush on him not because he was as attractive as he obviously was but because he had a mind of his own even when we were younger and more easily swayed by the crowd. I hope that in these past years he hadn't change and was still shocking people with his outlandish statements and rudeness that could all be washed away by his insanely huge smile. I contacted Mr. Chandler with the news. He was devastated to hear. I hope he could make the funeral. But I hope Mike knew how much his large personality made everyone smile. I will be sending a donation to the PHL Bike Works in his name.

I am sadden to have heard the tragic news. I send my condolences to the Hagan family. I have worked with Michael in the same company for several years and I have gotten to know him as a friend. He was very nice and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He was the type that would never hesitate to help another person and was a good man. He will truly be missed.

I knew Michael as we both worked together at the Transitional Work Corporation. This is all deeply distressing. It is hard to imagine what words might comfort. Just know we loved Mike at TWC, he cared about poor people, and he worked hard. And, yes, snowboarding... we knew about that too. My condolences.

To the Hagan Family, Words seem inadequate for expressing my sadness in the loss of Michael. I can't imagine a world without him in it. My childhood was filled with fun and adventure because Michael was by my side! Whether climbing trees, riding bikes, building forts, or playing "down back", we had a blast because we had each other, as well as Jesse and Katie tagging along. I feel blessed that Michael was such an important part of my life and am completely heartbroken over losing him.
