Obituary of Robert G. Dunbar

Robert Graham Dunbar, age 95, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Robert proudly served his country as a Korean War veteran and Corporal in the United States Army Corps. He was a lifetime member of the East Pennsauken Volunteer Fire Department #1 and dedicated 35 years of service working at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Dunbar (née Oldham), who was by his side for 73 years. He is also survived by his three children: Donna Stanek and her husband, Mark Stanek; Debra Nickollof and her husband, Mark Nickollof; and Robert Dunbar and his wife, Naomi Dunbar.

Robert was a devoted grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Dawn McClernon and her husband, Michael McClernon; Ryan Sexton and his wife, Kelly Sexton; Laura Panarello and her husband, John Panarello; Danielle Cassano and her husband, Michael Cassano; Mark Nickollof and his wife, Michelle Nickollof; Steven Nickollof and his wife, Marian Nickollof; Candice Nickollof; Jennifer Sullivan and her husband, Justin Sullivan; Patrick Dunbar and his wife, Briana Dunbar; Tasha Nickollof; and Marty Nickollof.

He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren—Connor, Dylan, Logan, Jude, Theo, Maggie, Lucas, Kayden, Benjamin, Aurora, and Tyler—with another great-grandchild expected in August.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Falco-Caruso and Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 Browning Road, Pennsauken, NJ, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ.  Entombment will follow at Harleigh Cemetery, 1640 Haddon Avenue, Camden, NJ.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to the Smart Home Program through the Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
