Obituary of Jose Antonio Vazquez Amaro

Jose Antonio Vazquez Amaro, age 70 years of Camden, passed away on March 12, 2026.

Beloved husband of Carmen Rivera. Devoted father of Leyda Vazquez (Anthony Solano), Ilza Gilmore (Quandell), Carmen Roldan (John), Juan Bultron (Diana Mercado), and the late Jose Vazquez. Loving grandfather of Charles Lopez, Janiyah Rivera, Quandell Gilmore, Zayne Gilmore, Mason Gilmore, Jaxon Gilmore, Raven Gilmore, Vanessa Bultron, Jacob Rodriguez, Michelle Rodriguez, Antonio Bultron, and Veronica Priest. Cherished great grandfather of Jaydalynne, Xylani, Azalea, Aiden, Alias, Jah'nalayah, J'ahna, Jacob Jr., and the late Jasiah. Dear brother of Magaly, Luis, Santa, Maria Esther, and the late Violet, Leyda, and Alba. He is predeceased by his parents, Esther Figueroa and Rosario Santos. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Jose enjoyed music and playing the lottery. He loved Puerto Rico, especially Patillas, and visiting his land there. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren. Jose was a very straightforward, outspoken person who was not afraid to tell you how it is. He will be remembered as a strong person, a provider, and a fighter.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 5-7 PM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 7 PM. Interment will take place in Patillas, Puerto Rico.
