Obituary of Reinaldo Rivera

Reinaldo "Rey" Rivera of Pennsauken,passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 24, 2026 at 69 years. Beloved husband of Paulette (nee Wheeler) for 41 years. Devoted father of Rachael (Rob) and Rey (Kylene); Caring Abuelo AKA "Bubbles" to Ava, Grace, Jackson, Ryder, Rhys and Nola.

Loving son of Olga (nee Rodriguez) and the late Pablo; Dear brother of Elvia, Mercy, Kathy, Wanda, Pablo, Eddie and Jose. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rey enjoyed many things in life, including old cars, trips to the flea market, smoking cigars and making jokes with his brothers and brothers in law. He spent many summers with his wife and kids in the poconos, hiking, visiting Jim Thorpe, and sitting by the pool at “Murphy’s.” He looked forward to family time at his moms or in Carthage, at his brother’s. He loved the Sixers and Phillies, but most of all he loved watching his grandsons play their sports. 

Prior to retirement, Rey was employed at the Township of Pennsauken as the Municipal Clerk. He was a proud Veteran of the National Guard. His grandchildren were truly his world.

Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 10-11 AM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
