Obituary of Aurea E. Martinez

Aurea E. Martinez, age 91 years of Pennsauken, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on April 5, 2026.

Devoted mother of Jose Arroyo, Sonia Cortes, Will Arroyo, Rafael Arroyo, Maribel Arroyo, Lucas Arroyo, and the late Marilyn Arroyo and Jorge Arroyo. Loving grandmother of Jose Arroyo, Isaac Arroyo, Rafael Arroyo, Denny Cortes, Amanda Cortes, Will Arroyo Jr., Priscilla Padilla, Tatianna Padilla, Benjamin Padilla, Maribel Alicea, Clartiza Moreno, Jessica Moreno, Erica Moreno, Anthony Moreno, Jorge Arroyo Jr., and William Arroyo and great grandmother of many. Dear sister of Maria T. Correa, Guillermo Delgado and the late Ana Delgado and Carmen Martinez. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Aurea loved God and her faith. She enjoyed cooking, especially making pasteles, and sharing meals with those she cared about. Most of all, Aurea loved her family. She loved her family with a depth and devotion that defined her life. Her children were her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment, and she loved them more than anything in this world. Everything she did, every decision she made, was with them in mind. She was endlessly giving, always putting their needs before her own without hesitation. From their earliest days into adulthood, she made sure they were cared for, supported, and never without what they needed. Her love was constant, selfless, and unwavering.

She liked to sing and had a good sense of humor. In her free time, she watched Novellas and cooking shows. Aurea also worked as a seamstress and enjoyed flowers. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill.
