Obituary of James P. Harkins

James P. Harkins, age 87 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2026.

James was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James Harkins and Alberta Wesley.

Beloved husband of Sandra May (nee Kosec) for 42 years.  Devoted father of Luis (Tarra) and Ricky.  Loving grandfather of Serenity, Ricky, Olivia Joy, Jaslene, Jonathan, Christopher and Vanessa.  Dear brother of Patricia Smith, Rose Marie Clark (Ed), John Harkins (Jean) and the late Verna, Raymonda and Raymond “BooBoo”.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, many loving friends and extended family members and his fur baby, Prince.

Prior to retirement, James was employed at Certified Steel for many years.  He then worked part time at Lord and Taylor and with the Pennsauken Police as a crossing guard at Union and Park Avenues.  James enjoyed watching TV, reading the newspaper and loved everything Elvis.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 9:30-11AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11AM.  Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
