Obituary of Janice A. Halscheid

Janice A. Halscheid (nee Frumento), age 79 of Swedesboro, NJ, formerly of The Villages, FL and Woolwich Twp, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026.  She was born on November 11, 1946 in Camden, NJ to the late John Charles and Mildred (nee Tedesco) Frumento.

Beloved wife of the late Philip R. for 55 years.  Devoted mother of Danette DiFabritiis (Joe), CM Halscheid and his family and John Halscheid Sr. (Kimberly); Loving grandmother of Samara, John Jr., Thomas, Erin, Joey and Gia and great grandmother of Greyson and Willow; Dear sister of Ronald (Jeannie) Frumento.

To know Janice was truly to love her.  She had a contagious smile that could light up a room, and anyone that she met was immediately a friend.  She was never without a compliment for someone and was selfless to the end, always worrying about the well-being of others before her.  She cherished her dog Bella and spending time at the beach or in Florida with her beloved husband Philip.  Janice also enjoyed relaxing by crocheting, playing Scrabble or working through her word search books.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, April 29 from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Ocean City, PO Box 1254, Ocean City, NJ 08226
