Obituary of Gilberta Altagracia Nunez

Gilberta Altagracia Nunez, age 80 of Camden for over 40 years, passed away suddenly at her home on May 13, 2026.  She was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic on February 4, 1946 to the late Severino and Elisa (nee Alvarez) Nunez.

Beloved wife of Secundino Placencia; Devoted mother of Ramona Caba, Luz Maria Fernandez, Domingo Placencia, Arelis Placencia and the late Jose and Elvis Placencia; Loving grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 13; Dear sister of Carmen, Jose Mercedes and Domingo Antonio Nunez.

Mrs. Nunez loved traveling back to her native Dominican Republic, gardening and tending to her plants and flowers and above all, helping others.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 8:15 to 9:15 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market Street in Camden.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
