Obituary of Rickey J. Delp

Rickey J. Delp, age 73 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026.  Born in Reading, PA to the late Ernest and Betty (nee Schadler) Delp.

Beloved husband of Ellen Delp (nee Hansen).  Devoted father of Erick Delp (Felina) and Stacee Delp.  Dear brother of Daryl Delp (Vickie), Cindy Williams (Dave), Annette Sikorski (Paul), Diane Griffin (Joseph), and the late Larry Delp (the late Marion), David Delp (Arlene), Scott Delp, and Pamela Delp.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement in 2015, Rickey was employed as a postmaster with the US Postal Service for 38 years.  After retirement, Rickey worked for Bryson’s Pub and the Pennsauken Country Club.  He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, camaraderie, and passion for life.  Whether he was hitting the golf course, cheering on the Phillies, chasing thrills at the racetrack or casino, showing off his skills in pool and cornhole, or umpiring for PYAA baseball for many years;  he did it all with a competitive spark and a big heart.  When it wasn't golf season, Rickey could also be found bringing joy to everyone by becoming Santa. Loved by family and friends, he will be remembered for his humor, his zest for life, and the joy he brought to every game and every gathering.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 9AM-12PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 12PM.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson.
