Obituary of Robert W. Suter III

Robert W. Suter III, age 88 years of Plymouth Meeting and Media, PA, passed away on June 11, 2026. Born and raised in Delaware County on March 28, 1938 in Chester, PA to the late Robert W. Jr & Clara Evelyn Suter.

Beloved husband of the late Sylvia "Sam" Schuman. Devoted father of David Suter (Lisa), Diane Lepard, and Tara Minnig (Allan). Loving grandfather of Nicole Sallada, Mark Mayne, William Mayne, Anthony Devore (Ashley), Deja Mewborn (Allen), Samantha Birch, Ashley Beasley, and Shelby Minnig and great grandfather of 11. Also survived by dear friends Heidi and Dan Elgart.

Robert served in the US Marine Corp from 1956-1959. Prior to retirement, he worked for many years as a heating and air technician. Robert loved to work. He loved it so much that even after retirement, he found himself delivering phone books and then working as a school gate guard until a few years ago. He also enjoyed reading. Robert had a talent for reading paper maps and would often use them to drive down to Florida, where he spent time living in Deltona. Robert liked watching sports and was an avid New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He also liked to gamble, taking trips to the casinos to play black jack and poker. Robert will be remembered as a good friend and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
