Obituary of Rafael Antonio Ortiz

Rafael Antonio Ortiz, age 86 of Camden, passed away at his home on August 24, 2026.  He was born in Laguna Salada, Dominican Republic on October 15, 1939 to the late Tabito Hernandez and Andrea Ortiz.

Beloved husband of Neredya (nee Rojas).  He is also survived by his 5 sons and daughters, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Rafael worked for many years as a sugar mill technician in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the United States.  He enjoyed listening to music, spending time at home and playing dominoes.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, August 28 from 10 to 11 AM at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 2818 River Avenue in Camden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11.  Interment will follow at a later date at Cementerio Municipal de Esperanza de 27th St. in Esperanza, Valverde Mao, Dominican Republic.
