Pritchett (nee Collins), age 89 of Pennsauken, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2013. Beloved wife of John E. Pritchett Sr. for 71 years. Mother to John Jr. (Ellen), Patricia Walker (late Franklin Walker Jr.), late Arnold Pritchett (Gloria), late Eric Pritchett (Sonya), Diane Simpson (Carrera), Deborah Brooks, Stephen Pritchett (Patricia), Garrett Pritchett (Barbara) and two sisters in law Gertrude Collins and Dorthea Collins. Loving grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 21. She was a dedicated community activist for Pennsauken Twp., recognized by the Poling Chapel of Four Chaplains. Mrs. Pritchett was a lifetime member of the PTA, member of the NAACP, co-founder of Homestead Youth Association and recipient of the 2013 Martin Lutheran King Freedom Medal of Honor. She was a member of the Affirmative Action, member of the Pennsauken Alliance/Substance Abuse, President of Collins Family Reunion, President of the Michael Pritchett Scholarship Fund, former member of the Camden County Council of OEO, Lifetime member of Bethel AME Church, and recipient of the Bronze Star awarded by the National Hook Up of Black Women. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday from 9 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Pennsauken.
