It's been a long time, and i just happened to come across this page...sadly...I always like Mr Phillips and part of the reason I joined the Navy was because of him. I hope the Phillips family all of the best wishes and that they are all doing well.

I worked with Dick for a number of years at Lockheed Martin. He was always very proud of his service in the Navy though I don't recall him ever mentioning that he had been awarded multiple Bronse Stars with Valor. Dick (and those like him) are responsible for the freedom that we have today. Fair winds and following seas, Dick. May God bless Dick's family as they grieve his loss.
My deepest condolences to the Phillips family. I did not know Mr. Philips but I knew his daughters,Colleen, Maureen and Doreen from Willingboro High school where i taught and coached. They were fine girls well mannered and very coachable. They are a tribute to his memory. i also wish to thank Mr. Phillips for his service. May he rest in peace.
