Obituary of Fernando L. Lugo
Fernando L. Lugo, age 72 of Pennsauken, formerly of Camden, passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2023.
Beloved husband of Miriam L. (nee Muniz) for 35 years. Devoted father of Fernando L. Lugo, Wanda McLaughlin (Andrew), Almando Lugo (Arlene) and Lesley Mateo (Kris). Loving grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Maria Rodriguez, Wilfredo Lugo, Hilda Lugo, Ramona Nieves and Luis Rodriguez. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Prior to retirement, Fernando was employed with the City of Camden as the director of parking and towing for 27 years. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Fernando loved dancing and was an excellent cook. He enjoyed staying active and exercising and was a member of the Puerto Rican Express softball team.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:30-7 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be celebrated at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Liver Foundation P.O. Box 299 West Orange, NJ 07052.
