Obituary of Scott Joseph Smith

Scott Joseph Smith, age 54 of Pennsauken, passed away suddenly at his home on July 11, 2023.

He is the beloved son of the late Sandra J. Smith; devoted father of Alyssa and Taylor Smith and stepfather of Yvette Sitzlow; loving grandfather of Joseph Scott and Richie; dear brother of Sandra Depolis, Harry "Hank", Herman "Shorty" and Todd Smith.  He is also survived by his aunt Audrey Kuni and a nephew Shayne Smith.

Scott was a carpenter with Union Local 251 in Philadelphia and loved his job – laying floors was “his thing”.  He loved to go fishing and was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, following the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers. Scott was always the funniest guy in the room, and was extremely outgoing, loud and sarcastic.  He was famous for his Chicken and Rice dinners, and loved salmon, hot sauce, potato chip sandwiches and all kinds of sweets.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, July 18 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of Mary, Queen of all Saints, 4824 Camden Avenue in Pennsauken.  Interment services will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
