Obituary of John R. Bennie

John R. Bennie of Margate, formerly of Cherry Hill, passed away peacefully  surrounded by his family on November 30, 2023 at 98 years.

Beloved husband of 75 years to the late Angeline R. Bennie (née Trivinia); Beloved father of Adele (Daniel) Bennie - Carlin, Joseph (Karen) Bennie and the late Maryann (Thomas) LaMaina; Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Steven) McCarthy, Thomas LaMaina, Kristen (Robert) Vogelbacher, Candice (Sean) Kolins, Amanda (Eric) Juray and Angela Bennie; Caring great grandfather of Ryan McCarthy, Sean McCarthy, Zachary Juray, Siena Kolins, Bobby Vogelbacher and Sophia Juray; also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

John, was a prominent and well known attorney and was known for  a very wide and deep knowledge of the law and practiced law since 1951. He dedicated everything he did to his family. He loved family trips and gatherings with his entire family and especially enjoyed Sunday family meals on the balcony in Margate.  He also treasured his trips all over the world with his late wife Angeline. He truly lived a wonderful life and was blessed to have settled down at the jersey shore surrounded by the ocean.

Relatives & friends are invited to the visitation and funeral on Monday from 10 to 10:45 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated promptly at 11 AM. Entombment at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.
