Obituary of Vernon S. Chubb

Vernon Scott Chubb, age 59 years of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 12, 1964, to Marian Parker and Quillen “Chuck” Chubb. 

Devoted father of Scott Boone- Chubb and his wife Chutney, Tiffany Corbett, and Maya French. Loving grandfather of Demanie, Emma and Riley.  

Dear brother of Drusilla “Dru” Burns (LeVord Burns, Sr.), stepsisters Roxanne and Allison.   Also survived by nieces Alyssa (Kevin) Burns, Maya (Jacob) Burns, and nephew Mark Burns. 

 Vernon graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, NJ and earned his associate degree from Olive Harvey College in Chicago, IL.  He was employed at Verizon for 19 years as a Facilities Technician.  Vernon volunteered at the Camden Aquarium and Pennsylvania Horticulture Society.  He loved the great outdoors, fishing, boats, plants, art, and sculptures. 

He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and son. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 10-11 AM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, Pennsauken, NJ, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org  OR Samaritan Life Enhancing Care at www.samaritannj.org
