Obituary of Jose Luis Rodriguez Torres

Jose Luis Rodriguez-Torres, age 50 of Camden, passed away on March 8, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. 

He is the beloved husband of Crusita Santana de Rodriguez; devoted father of Jonaliz Rodriguez, Jorge Luis Rodriguez-Matos and Eliani Rodriguez; dear brother of 16.  He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.  Jose is predeceased by his brother Bautista Rodriguez.

Jose was born on March 28, 1973 in El Rubio, Santiago, Dominican Republic to Juana Antonia Torres and the late Ramon Antonio Rodriguez and lived there until December of 2003 when he moved to Camden, New Jersey.  He was a hard worker who loved technology, reading and expanding his education and knowledge.  He enjoyed all types of music, but especially romantic Spanish music, and he always tried to be the DJ in the family.  Jose will be remembered for his calm and respectful manner in which he interacted with people.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 9 to 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 2818 River Road in Camden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM.  Interment will take place at a later date at the Cementerio Municipal El Rubio in San Jose de las Matas, Santiago, Dominican Republic.
