Obituary of Al King, Jr.

Al King Jr., 73 of Cinnaminson, NJ formerly of Pennsauken and Camden, passed away on July 21, 2023.

Beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee Abbott) for 45 years.  Devoted father of Jennifer Vergata (Victor), Ryan King (Lori), Brad King, Andrew King (Melissa) and Ashley Chytraus (Tyler).  Loving grandfather of Matthew, Marisa, Cooper, Michaela, Colten and one on the way.  Brother of Lorraine Weissberg (Charles), Charles King (Kathy) and David King.  Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and his new puppy, Mo.

Al was the third generation dedicated former owner of Helmrich Towing in Pennsauken, NJ for over 40 years.  He was a food connoisseur who loved going out to dinner and trying new restaurants.  Al enjoyed car and truck shows, driving, spending time with family and friends and laughing. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 2-5 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 5 PM.  Final disposition will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Al's memory to your favorite animal rescue in honor of his love of dogs.
