Obituary of Alfonso Torres

Alfonso L. Torres, Sr., a longtime resident of Camden, passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 15, 2016 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, New Jersey at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 52 years to Rosa Molina; Devoted father of Edwin Molina, Alfonso Torres Jr. (Evelyn), Daisy (Angel) Berrios, Angel (Judy) Torres and Madeline (Alben) Torres; Loving grandfather of 20 and great grandfather of 16; Dear brother of Roberto Torres Sr., and Daisy Colon. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Torres was employed at Whitestar Aluminum in Pennsauken for 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and having a drink with his brother, and picking watercress. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 2818 River Avenue in Camden. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
