In 1972 I made the best decision I ever made. I moved back to New Jersey and found my wonderful sister. A sweet, kind, generous person. We shared wonderful times together...even trips to my dentist every 6 months where we would have lunch at the Barrington Restaurant, her favorite place, ordering a grilled cheese sandwich and fries (which she shared with her bird and squirrel friends) after which I would leave with all kinds of snacks and bags of candy for Frank. We spoke to each other practically every day...sharing and planning those trips to the seashore where we played numerous Uno games. Yes she always beat me! Special times that will always be in my heart. I love you dear sister and I will be calling upon you to help me get thru life without you!

From my earliest childhood, I remember Elaine as my first friend's, Helena, mother. I remember knocking on their door to play and fascinated that they were having hoagies for dinner. I remember Elaine taking Helena and I to the movies to see 'Snow White'. I always felt happy to be with the Meehan family. Lately, I have had the pleasure to have lunch with Elaine and my mother. It was so nice to be able to come full circle with her again. She will live on in my heart and be part of my thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.
I said a prayer for you each day, hoping you pain would go away. You would be well and free of tests, but the Lord always knows best, so he took you to Heaven where you could rest. I'll Miss You. Love Sis
Elaine was the best Mother-in-law a husband could ever wish for.
I know others are amazed that I got along with MY mother-in-law, but she was kind, loving and caring towards me and made me feel like I had a second mom.
I can honestly say I loved her like a mother and would do anything for her.
I miss the way I could kid around with her and get a smile, even in her failing health . I miss you mom.
God Blessed me with the most wonderful Godmother in the world,
